The Birmingham Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, (AIA Birmingham) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 AIA Birmingham Design Awards. The winners were recognized at the Design Awards Gala at the Thomas Jefferson Tower on June 22, 2017.
AIA Birmingham’s annual design awards exist to recognize excellence in architectural design by member architects. Awards were given in five categories: Commercial, Detail, Institutional, Residential, and Other. A jury composed of five Washington D.C. architects met at Howard University School of Architecture and judged all 40 entries based on each entry’s design qualities.
