The Birmingham Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) hosts annual Design Awards to recognize excellence in architectural design by local architects. These awards highlight outstanding architectural achievements and honor the collaboration between architects, clients, consultants, and contractors in enhancing the built environment.
AIA members are dedicated to improving the world, creating better spaces for people to live, work, and play.

All projects were evaluated anonymously by two juries this year. Projects were divided into categories based on square footage of the project, and given to the five experts who practice within this project scale.
