June/July 2017 Special Edition Newsletter
Congratulations Architects!
All of you are winners in my book! So much talent in AIA Birmingham, I would never want to be a juror for Birmingham. The DC jury had a difficult time selecting the honor and merit awards. They discussed for hours and then circled back around to make the final cut. We included the jury comments and hope you take the time to read them. The boards will be on exhibit next week at the Thomas Jefferson Gallery (there is a commercial shoot in the space this week, so they had to come down). We would like to schedule site visits to all the award winning projects, we are working thru how we will make that happen, owners have to agree and a few more moving parts. Stay tuned!
On another note….$$$$…. I know all of you are so busy right now and that is great news! There are not enough architects to get all the work done this hot minute. If any of you are interested in extra work/side work (if your employer is okay with it) please contact me. I need a longer list of people interested in contract work. So much work and not enough of you talented architects! What a great problem.
Keep making a difference one design at a time!
PEACE,
Rhea Williams, Executive Director AIA Birmingham / Alabama Center for Architecture ______
