This course will provide an overview of the scope, application and methods of demonstrating compliance with the Alabama Commercial Energy Code 2015 IECC/ASHRAE 90.1-2013 with a focus on details most critical for architects and designers.

Focus will be given to code changes from the previous 2009 IECC Alabama commercial energy code and the new 2015 IECC Alabama commercial energy code. Strategies for code compliance and available resources including use of the Department of Energy’s COMCheck tool will be identified.

Attendees will gain a better understanding of new code requirements, available technologies and compliance strategies for Alabama.
