Happy Thankful Month,
It was so good to see most of you at the Thank You Members and Sponsors luncheon. I would like to thank each of you for your AIA membership and your valuable time. Many of you volunteer and serve on committees in addition to paying your AIA dues. All of you give to the profession in so many ways (other than AIA), serving on boards, committees, non-profits, zoning boards, design review and save time for your personal life. Whew!!!! Be sure to take time to take a few deep breaths for yourself. This is the burn out time of the year, try to take a minute for YOU. It can be as simple as walking outside at lunch, coffee without your phone, whatever is your happy place – make a point to visit that place. Find your zen before the holidays hit you, things will get really CRAZY.
Thank you for making a difference and caring.
Peace & AIA Love,
Rhea Williams, Executive Director AIA Birmingham
Alabama Center for Architecture
