Sharon is a Landscape Architect and Certified Arborist, working in Birmingham since 1985.  You may know her from the City of Hoover, where she has directed the Landscape Architecture/Urban Forestry Division for the last 18 years.

Sharon has traveled across the US and Southeast Asia for meditation workshops and weeklong retreats with her long-time Teacher.  Her style of meditation is based on an ancient Chinese tradition.  She attributes the resilience in her long-standing service in the public sector to 25+ years of practicing meditation and its philosophies.

Today, meditation is a hot topic ranging from those who do it to relax, to business professionals who use it for networking opportunities and for everything in between.

Whatever your interest in meditation, please join us for a “101” experiential session where Sharon will share some simple techniques to get you started.

Dress comfortably and bring a cushion for sitting on the floor.
