About Melody Gillezeau:
Melody Gillezeau is the Sustainable Development Project Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she works to provide a healthy & resilient built environment within 100+ city blocks of UAB’s contiguous campus. She came to UAB in 2018 from Gensler, where she was the Design Resilience Leader for the Latin America region. Gillezeau headed the sustainability consulting practice area, including advising the public platform of the first lady of Costa Rica. A native of Trinidad & Tobago, she is also a member of the 2020 Greenbuild Program Working Group, a Southern Environmental Law Center Next 30 Ambassador, & member of the World Games 2021 Sustainability Committee.
