Project Life Cycle Meeting Series: Pt. 2 (Engineer)

The young professional groups of CFMA (YPL), AGC (YCF), ASCE, SEA and AIA are teaming up to host a series of meetings tailored to the young professional. We are taking a known local project, the Grandview Hospital on 280, and using it to walk through a job from the perspective of each industry group. If you are new to your industry or a seasoned veteran, this is something you don’t want to miss.

Our second meeting will be on Friday, February 20 at 11:30 at the Alabama AGC building. Lunch will be provided and there is no cost to attend.

We will be hearing from two speakers. First, Chuck Burgin, Senior Principal and Project lead on the Grandview project from BHATE Geosciences, will present insight from the geotechnical and construction materials testing. Next, we will hear from Greg Robinson of LBYD, who will discuss the structural engineering point of view for the project.
