The Weather Did Not Stop Us!!!
Parents beamed as Mayor Kincaid recognized each child and unveiled their larger than life artwork on the barricade of the city federal building. It was a cold miserable day, but children, parents, teachers, architects and Mayor Kincaid were all smiling as all the artwork was revealed. The theme of the contest was “Draw Your Dream Downtown”. Children were asked what would you want buildings to look like and what businesses need to be downtown? There is a building with a roller coaster instead of an elevator. My favorite is the downtown with a pet lane. It is a barricade that will make everyone smile when they drive by.
The sponsors who made this possible are all involved in the City Federal Building Condominiums project. Imaging Technologies Services did an outstanding job printing and mounting the artwork. It was an overwhelming task!!! Click here to see the photo album.
